We hope your new year has got off to a flying start and that you’re raring to go in 2024.We thought we’d take this opportunity to reflect on our last year at Lexington and take a look at what this year has in store for us. 2023 was a year that saw us further enhance our deal expertise in key sectors, be named ‘Corporate Finance Advisory Team of the Year’ in the Wales Dealmakers Awards, win a host of other industry awards and grow our specialist team. It will be a hard year to follow – but 2024 is already shaping up to be another successful one.

Deal of the Quarter: Burns Pet Nutrition

We were proud to act for the shareholders of Burns on this major deal and look forward to seeing how the business and team will continue to grow as part of the Assisi Pet Care Group.

Enjoying a winning streak

In late 2023, we won a trio of awards at the Insider Wales Dealmakers Awards including the coveted Corporate Finance Advisory Team of the Year, Deal of the Year and Private Equity Deal of the Year. We rounded up the year by being recognised with the Sustainable Growth Award at the Wales Fast Growth 50 Awards in November.

Driving forward our ESG agenda

ESG is important to us here at Lexington, and we regularly engage with charitable initiatives to give something back to our community. In the lead up to Christmas, members of the Lexington team donned their aprons and volunteered in the community soup kitchen at FoodCycle, a charity which aims to create nutritious meals and positive social change in the community by tackling food poverty and loneliness. FoodCycle is a fantastic initiative, and you can read more about how you can volunteer or donate by visiting its website. Tŷ Hafan is another cause close to our hearts and, last year, we climbed Pen y Fan and took part in a charity football event to raise vital funds for the hospice, which provides comfort, care and support to children with life-shortening conditions and their loved ones. We’re continuing to support the charity this year, and will be sporting our football boots once again for a rematch with the Business Five Cardiff corporate football event. If you’d like to donate, please visit our Just Giving page. We’re aiming to raise £1,000 so any help would be greatly appreciated.
