Lexington Corporate Finance is pleased to announce that it has acted as Lead Corporate Finance Advisor to Montana Healthcare and its Shareholders on the completion of its sale to Achieve together, one of the UK’s leading providers of support for people with learning disabilities, autistic spectrum conditions and associated complex needs.

Montana Healthcare, based in South Wales, is a provider of Supported Living and Domiciliary Care services specialising in care packages at the complex end of the acuity curve. The Company was founded by Robert and Karen Hession in 2007 and over the intervening period cemented an excellent reputation in the adult care sector for providing high standards of care across its portfolio of six homes.

Achieve together was formed in 2018, following the merger of Care Management Group (CMG) and The Regard Partnership following an investment by Australian based global investment manager, AMP Capital.  The latest acquisition of Montana will enable the two organisations to share high-quality leadership, expertise and resources as they join forces. It will also see Achieve together’s presence in South Wales, where it already operates a number of services, expand.

Lexington acted as the lead adviser and introduced the opportunity to a number of prospective acquirers and Achieve together emerged as the preferred acquiror. The Lexington team was Thomas Edwards and John Tose who negotiated terms and managed the process through to a successful completion.

Thomas Edwards, Director, said “We are delighted to have acted for Robert and Karen on the sale of their business to Achieve together. The result is testament to the hard work they have put in over the years to build the business up to be one of the leading supported living and domiciliary care providers in South Wales. There was significant buyer interest in the company but Achieve together emerged as the preferred bidder early on and it was a pleasure working with their deal team to complete this transaction.”

Robert Hession said, “Karen and I are delighted to have sold our business to Achieve together, who share our values, principals and beliefs.  We firmly believe they are the right company to take Montana to the next level and achieve even further success.  We would like to take this opportunity to offer our sincerest thanks to Thomas and John of Lexington who negotiated the sale of our business and worked tirelessly on our behalf to reach completion.  Karen and I would have no hesitation in recommending Lexington to any company who are considering selling their business.

This is the second recent transaction that Lexington has completed in the Care sector following on from the successful sale of New Bridges to Tracscare.

Andrew Morris and Jack Wellington of Geldards provided legal advice to the Shareholders.
